VectorVest summarizes The
Secret to Making Money in the Stock Market on its website, starting with
mention of the three powerful
forces driving the market: corporate earnings, inflation, and interest rates.
All too often, similar discussions by other resources for
investors fail to consider inflation. On average, since World War II, it has
slashed by half the real value of the American dollar by every 15-20 years.
Also, the same website shares Three Easy Steps to Ensure a
Golden Retirement. I see them as the foundation of a quick and easy (“10
minute”) retirement plan that compensates for inflation as well as ever-changing
earnings and interest rates.
Until I retired at the end of last year, my investment
management company was a long-term subscriber to VectorVest. I especially liked
its lengthy, fact-filled, promptly delivered written evaluation of any stock I
requested.
We employed several approaches when identifying stocks worthy
of both fundamental and technical analysis. One was VectorVest’s highest-rated
stocks for value, safety, and timing.
A second was AAII’s procedure, which names the companies currently passing the
criteria of the 77 investment strategies AAII follows.
VectorVest
is pricey, but it has a five-week trial offer for $9.95.
AAII membership still costs $29 yearly.

The 2013 AAII
Investment Conference will take place Nov. 15-17 near Disney World, Orlando.
I recommend it.
