-->
AAII’s Top 3 stock-investment strategies for 2013 to March 31:
1. Piotroski High F-Score, +66.5% YTD and up double digits annually in the last three, five, and ten years.
2. O’Shaughnessy: Tiny Titans, +225.5% YTD and up double digits annually in the last ten years.
3. Driehaus: Classic Momentum, +19.7% YTD and up double digits annually in the last three, five, and ten years.
The American Association of Individual Investors uses the S&P 500 index as its benchmark. Its YTD performance is +10.0% YTD and an average 10.3% in the last three years, 3.5% in the last five, and 6.3% in the last ten.
Piotroski's, O'Shaughnessy's, and Driehaus' lead the 77 strategies followed by AAII.
AAII goes beyond the reporting of performance by naming the stocks that passed each strategy’s requirements. To access their names and ticker symbols, you’ll need to be an AAII member—at this writing, still only $29 yearly or $99 for a four-year membership or $290 for a life membership.
The Piotroski stock-selection strategy focuses on several factors, starting with low price to book value.
Joseph Piotroski teaches accounting at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Never forget: All investments and savings are gambles on the unknown future and thus subject to loss.
